Varsity Sports to Compete in New Hudson Valley Intercollegiate Athletic Conference

Danielle Marino, Teresa Mangan, Megan Moran, Christina Quintana and Jackie Perillo were all named to the USCAA National All-Academic Team for their accomplishments in the classroom and on the diamond helping lead the Lady Bears to a 15-17-1 record this year.

Lady Bears Softball Cruises to HVWAC Invitational Title

The Lady Bears captured the 2013 Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Invitational Tournament title defeating Yeshiva University, 12-0, in the semifinals and Sarah Lawrence, 14-1, in the championship on Sunday afternoon. Jackie Perillo had a career day combining to throw a no-hitter against the Maccabees while going a perfect 7-for-7 on the day at the plate with two home runs and eight RBI, and was named Tournament MVP.
Lady Bears Softball Comes Up Empty on Senior Day vs. Briarcliffe

The Lady Bears dropped a hard-fought doubleheader to Briarcliffe College, 4-1 and 8-1, on Senior Day. Mabel Vargas pitched game one going 6 1/3 innings surrendering four earned runs on nine hits while also going 1-for-3 at the dish scoring St. Joseph's lone run in the opener.

Lady Bears Softball Almost Earns Split, But Drops Two to Baruch

St. Joseph's (12-13-1) took a 6-4 lead through four innings in the nightcap of a doubleheader against the Bearcats, but the Lady Bears couldn't hold on for a split falling 7-0 and 9-6 in the first meeting between the squads since 2007. Cassandra Molinari collected three hits, three RBI and a double over the twin bill.

Lady Bears Softball Sweeps Sarah Lawrence to Move Above .500

The Lady Bears (12-11-1, 2-0 HVWAC) rang out 32 hits over a 12-1 (5 inning) and 11-1 doubleheader sweep of Sarah Lawrence. Jackie Perillo improved to 6-3 in the circle allowing one run over five innings of work and knocked four hits including a homer, scoring four times. Danielle Marino collected five hits, four doubles and two RBI also scored her 100th career run.
