Pitching one perfect game is enough of an accomplishment, but Alyson Chiaramonte has five to her name after tossing back-to-back perfect games this season and assembling a streak of 50 consecutive batters retired.

Final NCAA Division III Softball Statistics Released

In the final Division III Softball statistics released last week, Alyson Chiaramonte finished in the top 10 in three statistical categories highlighted by her 4th place ranking in shutouts. As as team, the Lady Bears finished in the top 20 in three categories and in the top 50 in six categories overall.
Chiaramonte Takes Top AD3I Softball Honors as Seven Named to All-Independent Teams

Alyson Chiaramonte is named the Association of Division III Independents Co-Player and Co-Pitcher of the Year, receiving both honors for the second time. Joining her on the First Team All-Independent are Lisa Scheer, Danielle Marino and Andrea Sideli. Caitlyn Kakavas, Cassandra Molinari and Jackie Perillo were named to the Second Team.
Lady Bears Defeat Mont Alto to Capture 7th Place at Nationals

The Lady Bears knocked 12 hits and cruised past Penn State Mont Alto, 10-0, in the 7th Place Game of the USCAA National Championships. Alyson Chiaramonte was named Player of the Game batting 3-for-4 with two RBI and two doubles, and earned the win, tossing four scorless innings, striking out seven and allowing only two hits.

Lady Bears Fall to Spalding in USCAA Nationals Opener

Spalding jumped out to an early lead and held the Lady Bears to two hits, taking a 4-0 victory in the opener of the USCAA National Championships. The Lady Bears will face Penn State Beaver at 8 pm in an elimination game of the double-elimination tournament.

Alyson Chiaramonte was selected her fourth straight USCAA All-American team, the first SJC student-athlete to even accomplish that feat. Caitlyn Kakavas and Lisa Scheer received All-American honorable mention and Christina Quintana was named to the USCAA National All-Academic Team.

USCAA Softball National Championship Field Announced, Lady Bears Earn Sixth Seed

The 2012 USCAA Softball National Championship bracket has been released and the #6 Lady Bears have drawn #3 Spalding for their first round game on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at 4 pm. The second round of the double elimination tournament sets up a potential matchup with either #2 Lindenwood-Belleville or #7 Penn State Beaver.
Troise and Scheer Sweep USCAA Weekly Accolades

After hitting the first cycle in Lady Bears history and capturing HVWAC Tournament MVP honors, Jillian Troise was named USCAA Player of the Week and Lisa Scheer was named Pitcher of the Week after a pair of shutouts last week.
