Four Named to Inaugural HVWAC All-Academic Team

NEW YORK, NY – In the inaugural Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) All-Academic Team for the Fall Semester, four Lady Bears have been honored with the award. Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge), Hannah Darnell (Nashville, TN/Siegel ), Joanna Marciniec (Glendale, NY/Baruch) and Yliane Ulloa (Queens, NY/Midwood) have been rewarded for their efforts in the classroom and in their respective sports.

FLUSHING, NY - The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team defeated Vaughn College 9-0 Tuesday night, the third straight win for the team. The Lady Bears finish their regular season with a 4-6 (3-2 HVWAC) record while Vaughn drops to 0-4 (0-4 HVWAC).

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team celebrated their first victory of the season, 6-1, on Friday against conference rival New Rochelle. Junior Darcy Crimi (Glendale, NY/Christ the King) had a hand in two of the victories, winning her singles match 9-0 and teaming with senior Christine Parker (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) to win 1st doubles 8-3. The team is now 1-5 on the season.
