Four Named to Inaugural HVWAC All-Academic Team

NEW YORK, NY – In the inaugural Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference (HVWAC) All-Academic Team for the Fall Semester, four Lady Bears have been honored with the award. Kristen Bauman (Crystal Lake, IL/Prairie Ridge), Hannah Darnell (Nashville, TN/Siegel ), Joanna Marciniec (Glendale, NY/Baruch) and Yliane Ulloa (Queens, NY/Midwood) have been rewarded for their efforts in the classroom and in their respective sports.

BROOKLYN, NY – In an announcement made by the conference earlier this week, nine members of St. Joseph’s College have been named to the USCAA All-Academic Team.
Women's Tennis Closes Regular Season on Three Game Win Streak

FLUSHING, NY - The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team defeated Vaughn College 9-0 Tuesday night, the third straight win for the team. The Lady Bears finish their regular season with a 4-6 (3-2 HVWAC) record while Vaughn drops to 0-4 (0-4 HVWAC).
Nealon Selected HVWAC Tennis Co-Player of the Week

BROOKLYN, NY - Sophomore Patricia Nealon (Maspeth, NY/St. Francis Prep) was selected HVWAC Tennis Co-Player of the Week for the week ending October 24, in an announcement released by the conference earlier today. This is the first time Nealon has received Player of the Week honors.
Women’s Tennis Captures Second Straight Win Defeating Medgar Evers

BROOKLYN, NY – The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team defeated Medgar Evers College on Friday night, 6-3, in a Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference match. The Lady Bears improve to 3-6 (2-2 HVWAC) and move up to 3rd place in the conference.

FLUSHING, NY – Senior Christine Parker (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) and sophomore Patricia Nealon (Maspeth, NY/St. Francis Prep) contributed wins at singles and doubles leading the St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team to a fourth place finish at the season-ending Hudson Valley Women’s Athletic Conference Tennis Championships held on Saturday at the National Tennis Center.

BROOKLYN, NY – The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team dropped a conference match Tuesday afternoon, falling 9-0 to Pratt Institute. The loss sends the Lady Bears record to 1-6 (1-2 HVWAC) while Pratt advances 5-1 (3-1 HVWAC).

NEW ROCHELLE, NY - The St. Joseph’s College women’s tennis team celebrated their first victory of the season, 6-1, on Friday against conference rival New Rochelle. Junior Darcy Crimi (Glendale, NY/Christ the King) had a hand in two of the victories, winning her singles match 9-0 and teaming with senior Christine Parker (Brooklyn, NY/St. Edmund Prep) to win 1st doubles 8-3. The team is now 1-5 on the season.
